Brother Dennis James Ryan
Buchanan Lodge No.550
Passed January 9,2024
Passed peacefully January 9th, from heart-related illness, at the age of 80. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Diane (née Sweeney - Smillie); and stepchildren, Troy (Olla), Shandis (Scott) and Tyler (Liz). Dennis "Papa" was loved by his grandchildren, Kaily (Alex), Shea (Matt), Sydney (Jordan), Liam, and Ethan; and eight great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his nephew, Graham; and nieces, Saundra, Tammy, and Andrea. Dennis retired from a long career at National Steel Car, but will be most remembered for his tireless work with Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton Tiger Cats ticket operations, National & Ontario Baseball Umpires Association, and Hamilton Shriners. Dennis was also a dedicated volunteer with the CANUSA games, and Sacred Heart Parish Church. Dennis' life was one of dedication, loyalty, and passion; he selflessly gave his time to anyone in need. He loved his family, and cherished his friends; his laugh was genuine and will be missed by so many. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell), on Sunday, January 14, from 6 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. Lunch after at the church hall. We are heartbroken to announce the passing of W.Bro. William Joseph Smith at the age of 94. He was a longstanding member and Past Master of the Doric Lodge No. 382.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Burkholder United Church. Cremation has taken place and per his wishes, a service will be held on January 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Burkholder United Church, 465 Mohawk Rd. E. Hamilton.

Bro. Reginald Lewington

Bro. Reginald Lewington was Initiated into Westmount Lodge No. 671 on June 23, 1953, Passed on October 27, 1953 and Raised December 8, 1953.

Reg affiliated with Meridian Lodge No. 687 on October 9, 2002

Reg passed to the Grand Lodge above on November 30, 2023 at the age of 93.

According to Reg's wishes, cremation and there will be no funeral service.

While he was able, Reg often assisted with preparation of Candidates, degree lectures and very much enjoyed helping out in the banquet room. He will be missed.

In keeping with Mihailo's wishes a private funeral was held with family on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, Stoney Creek, with the Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating.
